Refurbishing Pickering’s nuclear plant smart move by Ontario
Jonathan White IBB’s IR explains. “The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers applaud the leadership of the Ontario government for backing the refurbishment of the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station. This refurbishment will restore four of the station’s reactors to an as-good-as-new condition, extending safe operation up to four decades. Refurbishing of the proudly Canadian designed and built CANDU fleet is familiar work for the boilermakers and other skilled trades.”

“The Brad May Celebrity Hockey Classic”
Local 128 participated in “The Brad May Celebrity Hockey Classic” in support of Easter Seals Ontario.
The team raised $15,800 to go towards children in Ontario living with physical disabilities
to help bring them independence, acceptance, and to send them to camp.
Not only did the team band together in fundraising, but they also went undefeated throughout the tournament.
