Local 128 Labour Day Parades 2022
Boilermaker members from Local 128 are celebrating their 75th Anniversary.

Parades were held in Toronto, Kingston, Hamilton, Port Elgin, and Sarnia. Everyone was delighted to see old and new friends at the packed events. Thinking of our Brothers and Sisters across this beautiful country. Stay Safe and Be Well.

The Boilermaker union has requested that you take a new online training course called Boilermaker LivingWorks Start.
The Boilermaker union has a vision where fewer lives are lost through suicide. We are dedicated to empowering our members, staff, families, and communities to improve their mental health and well- being.
The Boilermakers union and LivingWorks believe that suicide is preventable. LivingWorks is a world leader in suicide prevention skills training, including LivingWorks Start, an interactive online suicide prevention skills training.
LivingWorks Start
In times of heightened isolation and anxiety, people’s thoughts of suicide can increase. Now more than ever, in today’s climate of uncertainty, it is essential that we have effective skills to keep each other safe, even if it is from afar. Boilermakers LivingWorks Start teaches individuals to recognize when someone is thinking about suicide and connect them to help and support.
LivingWorks Start is:
● Useable on any computer, tablet, or smartphone
● Interactive with practice and simulations
● Has built-in safety resources and features
● Completed in 60-90 minutes
● Appropriate for ages 16 and up
● Works best on all browsers except for Internet Explorer
Individuals can build a personal profile, track their suicide prevention trainings, and are empowered to invite friends and family to build their own community of safety.
